Megan and Darik are both Nurses and so close to my heart. I even used to work with Darik at the ED. He really was the kind of nurse you could look up to and want to be like. During Megan’s vows she told a story about how everyone went rushing into one of Darik’s ICU Patients rooms because he was in there moving the bed and they thought his Patient was coding. Turns out he was facing the Patient towards the windows because they were about to wake him up from a medically induced coma and he wanted him to see the outside as his view. I mean if that doesn’t make you understand what a special guy he is, I don’t know what would! Megan is a Nurse manager at Sentara and every bit as compassionate for her Patients and Loved ones. Once when Morgan (my Daughter) was considering Nursing school, Megan gave up time from her busy life to sit down and talk to her about what that might be like. Megan and Darik, were married near the water at Steinhilber’s restaurant in Virginia Beach, and while I have never eaten here, it is on the list now.
