Whenever I go to a new location, I always scout it with my kids. This is great for me, because I get new pictures of my kids and get to check out new places at the same time. My youngest, Truman, is definitely a money miser. He LOVES money more than anything. So when I told him we were going to scout a new location, he negotiated a deal for him and his Sister that they would each get $5 if they were “good models”.
We went to Red Wing Park in Virginia Beach, and it is a very nice place to shoot. Lots of good landscaping and different looking areas. There is a Japanese garden, a wooded area and lots of nice bridges and benches and streams. Morgan and Truman both were great models, and let me and Erika Mills from Erika Mills Photography take them to several different spots, even though it was 100 degrees. Thanks Erika for hanging out with us! And thanks Morgan and Truman for playing along…and Truman…I would have gone to $10! 🙂
