Truman is my little work horse. If he decides he wants something, he works hard to make sure he has done everything possible to put himself in a good position to achieve his goals. He is a sweet, sensitive boy and really considers other people feelings and his actions when doing things. He likes school and Math. He does not like reading and writing. One of the ways I knew he was serious about running for the Student Counsel is that he had to write an essay to even be considered as a candidate. As a kid that does NOT like to read and write, watching him sit down and struggle to make sure his punctuation was correct, helps me know how serious he takes this task. And then he has to write a speech, too. And memorize it. Watching him do this, makes me VERY PROUD to be his Mother. I know that in life, if Truman decides something is important to him, he will not hesitate to put forth the hard work and effort that is needed to obtain whatever it is that he desires. So no matter what the outcome is this afternoon, Tru, know that your Mom is SO impressed with the way that you handled yourself. And I know that life will not hold you back, for whatever you decide to do, one day you WILL do it! I love you little guy! Congratulations on your hard-work and effort…that is the true measure of whether you have won or not, in my eyes!
