I absolutely SUCK at shopping for clothes. Especially for me! I am a jeans, t-shirt and Chuck Taylors girl, through and through. It isn’t that I don’t want to breakout of that mold. I truly would LOVE to go to the mall and put together an outfit like the ones I pin on my pinterest boards…or the ones idols of mine like Jasmine Star, Melissa Jill, and Katelyn James wear. I often joke that clothes just aren’t made for Women built like me. I have the shape of a very short middle-aged man. I am round in the wrong places. I need to be whisked away by Clinton and Stacey on What NOT to Wear, and taught how to shop for my body type. Because I am terrible at it. Did I mention TERRIBLE??!!?? But here is my real dilemma. I am comfortable and confident in my Chuck’s and t-shirts, but Thursday, I am going to D.C. to a conference called theFix put on by one of my idols, Jasmine Star. She will look very put together, and glamorous, and I will be surrounded by stylish photographers, and ME? You guessed it! I will be wearing…lime green Chucks, jeans and probably a Jimmy Hendrix T-shirt. I really should step up my game…throw on some fitted shirt, with a long sweater, some skinny jeans and a textured scarf and some boots…but if I go to the store and try to find those things, I will wander around aimlessly, then become frustrated and find a sale on blue Chuck’s and leave. I am hopeless. So if you feel like you can help me, please don’t hesitate to call. I know I am in desperate need! And time is running out. 🙂
