Summer vacation starts today for my kids and you know I am thrilled!! I LOVE the lazy days of summer, having the kids home and slowing DOWN for a couple of months. (If you can call what we do slowing down!) 🙂 Both the kids did great this year. Morgan finished the year STRONG with B’s in both of her first AP classes in high school, she made the Girls Soccer team and lettered, she navigated her 1st year of High school…learned that even though some people pretend to be your friends, they aren’t and that all you really need is a couple GREAT people in your life that you trust. She got her first job…all by herself…(go visit her on the weekends at the East Beach Sandwich Company.) She tried out for and made a U18 travel team and will be working on her skills all summer at soccer camp. She continues to hone her sarcastic wit and signed up for photography class next year, and then made me PROMISE not to tell the teacher what I do for a living! 🙂
Here she is day one of her Freshman year…
And the LAST day as a Freshman…
Truman had a GREAT year as a 4th Grader. He had one of our Favorite Teachers and he thrived in her class. He continues to LOVE Math, Science, and Social Studies…but needs to keep working on Reading and Writing. His peers voted for him to be the Vice President of the Student Counsel and he loved serving the school again this year. He continues to be a sweet sensitive kid who thinks about others and cares how people feel. He played soccer on a very competitive team and worked hard all season. He will be playing on a U11 travel team next season, and is looking forward to the camps he is signed up for this summer. He trained for and ran his first 5K and found a real love of running. He also LOVES Crossfit and is looking forward to training with me this summer. We can’t believe he only has 1 year left in Elementary school! WOW! Time sure is flying!!
First day of 4th Grade…
Last day of 4th Grade!
