As you probably know…2020 has been one heck of a year!
When I first started to write this post, I started to go into all the things that made this year so hard for me personally… but as I have learned, by listening to peoples stories this year, I really don’t have it so bad.
So instead, let me tell you about some of the bright moments!
I have been fortunate to quarantine with some of my favorite Humans.
I have been fortunate to have people that love and support me.
I have a great partner that is here for me. I have felt deeply loved and respected and made to feel like I am important.
I have great kids who are keeping their heads above water during this mess. They continue to try hard to navigate this new world and I am so proud of them both.
I have two furry pups who are happy to see me at the end of my long days, ready with hugs and kisses, that replenish my soul.
I have been able to pay my bills, keep us fed and keep the lights on.
I have been humbled by working with some of the most giving and forgiving people on the planet and have watched us make a difference in peoples lives.
I have my health, even after months of being covered in this virus.
I have explored the great outdoors and enjoyed nature more.
I have been happy.
So while 2020 was a huge MotherF*ck$r…I have been very fortunate to have been a part of it.
I hope that 2021 will be better for all of us. But if it is a repeat, I am looking forward to spending it with the people I love.
Happy New Year!!
