A navy homecoming 6 days before Christmas….YES!!! A navy homecoming with a 2 year old that hasn’t seen his Daddy in 7 months and a Mama that is 9 months pregnant?? OMG, PLEASE YES!!!! I have done several homecomings and they are all full of anticipation, emotion and sheer excitement! But ones that happen right before Christmas really do have a special place in my heart! Watching theses families reconnect right before the Holiday is truly a tear jerker! I even got to see a Dad hold his Son for the first time (which always makes me BAWL!!) When Jason finally passed through the customs door and made his way through the crowd to see his family, Eli was initially a little hesitant, but that only lasted a mere second….then he was SO HAPPY to have his Daddy back!! And Lauren was, too! She was a little worried that their Daughter might make her way into the world before he came home. So glad it all worked out and everyone is home safe and sound and ready to celebrate!! Congratulations to you all…and thank you so much for the service and the sacrifice you all make for our country!
