Caitlin & Darryn met at Peabody’s in Virginia Beach when they went to see a band that they both had mutual friends in. They found out that they had both graduated from CNU and decided to hang out. Their first “date” was at the Starbuck’s on 21st Street in Ghent, downtown in Norfolk Virginia. Darryn says he had expected them to hang out for a cup of coffee and to chat a little…but 5 hours later…they knew this was more than just a quick cup of coffee between friends. They have recently moved to Lynchburg, where Caitlin is a middle school Science teacher. Since she loves to run long races…Darryn even proposed to her during a Color Me Rad race…they came back to town for the Wicked 10K. So we started our Engagement session at the Starbucks where they had their first date. I was immediately SUPER impressed with Caitlin when she spilled coffee all down the front of her cashmere sweater, right before our Engagement session started. But she barely blinked an eye, ran to the bathroom and blotted the coffee out! No Problem!! I can’t wait for their wedding next year at the Founder’s Inn. It is going to be so much fun!
And because I was shooting when Caitlin had her mishap with the coffee…I had to share…don’t worry, I asked her first!! 🙂
