I met Courtney last year when she was the make up artist at a wedding that I was shooting. I was so happy when she called me to let me know that she was getting married and that her and her Fiance, Billy, wanted to hire me. We met at First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach. I had never been to this side of the park before, and was happy that they had suggested it. It is a beautiful place with thick wooded areas, and sandy beaches. Billy knew a lot about the park’s history, and I really loved listening to him talk about it. They also brought along their two gorgeous children, Madysen and Marcus, so we did an Engagement session and a Family Portrait session. The only thing that we all would have changed was the pterodactyl sized bugs that attacked us when we were on the bridge. So the next time I shoot there, we definitely bring bug spray! 🙂
Because we were there over Fourth of July weekend, the small beach was VERY busy…so we drove across the road to the ocean for a couple more photos…
